Dr. Doug Pooley
Dr. Douglas Pooley, B.A, D.C. graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, receiving the Sommacal Award for clinical proficiency and has practiced in St. Thomas for the past 37 years. Dr. Pooley has represented his profession on various national and provincial boards and has lectured nationally and internationally. His passion is health care and he is devoted to constantly improving his service offerings to patients.
Doug walks the talk when it comes to health having competed and won what he refers to as the “old guy division” of a major bodybuilding competition. He is a fitness nut who loves biking, motorcycles and adventure sports. His favourite saying is :”Life is meant for living not watching.”
Dr. John Coleman
Dr. John Coleman, B.Sc., D.C. has been practising in St.Thomas since 2000, after graduating from Parker Chiropractic College, Dallas, Texas. Happy to return "home", Dr. Coleman remains active in the local community volunteering his services to many of the sporting events that come through St.Thomas and area. A love for sports and the unfortunate injuries that may accompany them are of special interest and a continual learning process for him. Traditional and more gentle techniques are required since athletes and patients in general can range from newborn to "experienced". Dr. Coleman completed his kinesiotaping level 1 & 2 certifications and is enjoying helping local athletes.
When not in the office, Dr. Coleman spends his time keeping up with his 3 young children either at a sporting venue or exploring the outdoors. "Activity is crucial for a healthy spine and thus a healthy life".
Dr. Michael Boone
B.Sc., D.C., CAFCI
Dr. Michael Boone, B.Sc., D.C., CAFCI graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Davenport, Iowa in 2003. He has been practicing in St. Thomas since 2006. Mike is proficient in all aspects of chiropractic care as well as the art of acupuncture. His patients love his easy going attitude and love of what he does as a health care professional. He is currently active as a member of the St. Thomas Executive Association. Dr. Boone in now also practicing at the community health centre twice a week and is enjoying helping the St Thomas community.
His passion outside of practice is his family and they have made St. Thomas their permanent home. His competitive side is satisfied by playing softball in the St. Thomas Men’s Slopitch League. He has recently found the joy of the “rock” at the St. Thomas Curling Club.
Danielle Brush graduated from Westervelt college in 2017. Her passion is to help people feel the best they can through the power of manual therapy.
Danielle has extensive clinical and outreach experience and is confident in Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Danielle plans on expanding her knowledge by adding additional modalities and techniques to her range of abilities.
Victoria Harbottle, RMT is a graduate of Fanshawe College with an advanced diploma in Massage Therapy. She is thrilled to be registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario to be able to offer exceptional massage therapy services to her current and future clients. Victoria has completed additional training in pregnancy, postpartum, breast, and infant massage therapy as well as cupping.
Victoria works with many different techniques and therapies including friction and fascial work, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, and relaxational. She will incorporate your wants and needs to make up an effective treatment plan with you and take your feedback wholeheartedly to ensure your comfort and safety.
From London, Victoria and her husband moved to St Thomas in May 2016 and have been enjoying the quieter life ever since. Victoria enjoys spending her time cuddling with her cats, doing yoga, and playing the guitar.
