Pain Control for Seniors Requires a Seasoned Approach

If you are over the age of 55 you might have noticed that it seems with every mile we put on our bodies a new ache or pain develops. Over time, one pain tends to blend with another till finally it is difficult to remember what it was like to live pain free.  Well, whether we like it or not, aging for most of us is a successive accumulation of aches and pains that eventually saps your vitality and plunks you permanently in your chair observing the world rather than participating. Sure you can probably get a pill to block the pain, but is that really going to help in the long run?  The progressive wear and tear that for the most part is responsible for the pains of aging, is often contributed to by progressive imbalances in the spine, pelvis and weight bearing joints of the lower limb that stimulate inflammation and joint breakdown.

What we have unfortunately been led to believe is that we are just getting old and have to live with it.  In most cases nothing could be further from the truth.. The body has amazing recuperative capacity at any age and after 36 years as a health care provider I assure you that often much of what you may be suffering from can with the right insight and care, be significantly lessened and controlled. The pain of arthritis, bursitis or strain can often be effectively treated with gentle therapy, proper exercise, minor diet modification, patience and belief that a difference can be made.

Over my years in practice, I have been able to help thousands of patients, many of whom were told that they were old and would have to just to live with the pain. I am now in my 60’s, and have made the study of the aging process my passion.  I can quite honestly do things now that I couldn’t in my 40’s by taking care of injury, making some minor lifestyle changes and doing a few things right.

If you are tired of being in pain, give me a call for a complimentary consultation to see if there might just be some answers to your concerns.
